Fostering Equal Opportunities at XTI
Makati, Philippines — Xceler8 Technologies, Inc. proudly welcomes five hearing impaired interns from the Makati Science and Technological Institute of the Philippines (MSTIP) for their on-the-job training. This is part of our ongoing commitment to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
The interns kicked off their journey with a successful onboarding session, led by their team leader, which marked the beginning of a rewarding hands-on experience in the tech industry. At Xceler8, we are passionate about fostering growth and excellence—not just for our clients, but for our team as well, including our interns. Our skilled industry experts are dedicated to providing top-notch guidance and support, ensuring that every intern has a meaningful and enriching experience with us.
We were also thrilled to have Professor Kevin Bermudo from MSTIP visit last Wednesday to conduct an engaging seminar about Deaf Culture. He shared valuable insights into Filipino Sign Language (the official sign language of the Philippines) and sign language communication basics. XTI’s employees actively participated, and the session was not only educational but also a heartwarming experience for all involved.
Finding a welcoming workplace can be a challenge for persons with disabilities, and as Professor Kevin shared with XTI’s President, Mrs. Cristy Receda, “It has been difficult to find companies that are open to welcoming our students. We are truly grateful for this opportunity.”
We want to extend our sincere thanks to MSTIP for entrusting us with this special opportunity. We share in their dedication to nurturing the next generation of professionals, and we’re honored to partner with them on this meaningful initiative.
